A traveling art kit package and design system.

Challenge: wide range of products with different size requirements fitting into one design system. Creating a durable package that can hold all products as well as be functional.

Process: Artwork for the packaging was painted with watercolor on paper then transfered into digital. The labels were cut by hand and applied. The box was lasercut in wood and assembled by hand. Photos were taken by me.

The travel art kit was inspired by my own observations when it came to art equipment for travel. Nothing is usually small enough or compact enough to be carried on a daily basis and definitely not something for watercolor. The case itself is based off of the overhead compartments in an airplane. The box includes an easle on top with a shelf in the middle for all painting supplies and a space at the bottom for a sketchbook.
